Introducing the Queer Cinema Archive!
Kinemathek – Hall
The Deutsche Kinemathek and the Queere Kulturstiftung (queer cultural foundation) are working on a Queer Cinema Archive in Berlin. The archive will draw from the collections of key players in Germany’s queer cinema held at the Deutsche Kinemathek, such as Ulrike Ottinger, Lothar Lambert, Elfi Mikesch and Yony Leyser, as well as the archives of distributor Salzgeber, containing hundreds of international works from queer film history. From the start, the archive will be a place for collaborative research and lively exchange, and will continue to grow. This presentation offers a first peek at the collection and the work so far, and an opportunity for dialogue and networking.
