Surprise Preview: An Unseen 16mm Work by OJOBOCA
Kinemathek – Studiokino
Dedicated to preserving experimental film history, the Deutsche Kinemathek also preserves contemporary works. A key voice in this field is the Berlin-based artist duo OJOBOCA, whose practice is rooted in an exploration of cinema as a social ritual and as a tool for generating collective experience. Working primarily with 16mm and expanded cinema, the duo continuously innovates analog film techniques as members of the artist-run film lab, LaborBerlin.
The 16mm Filmclub is thrilled to host a special surprise sneak peek screening of an unseen work by OJOBOCA. Fresh from the lab, the evening will feature a newly struck 16mm print, followed by a conversation with the filmmakers.

16mm ist Kult – und bekommt im Studiokino der Kinemathek seinen eigenen Abend. Hier werden seltene Experimental-, Underground- und Dokumentarfilme sowie andere Raritäten aus dem Archiv im Originalformat auf die Leinwand gebracht. Der 16mm Filmclub feiert das analoge Schmalfilmformat, das einst unabhängiges Filmemachen prägte und bis heute nichts von seiner Faszination verloren hat. Wechselnde Gäste führen ein, Fans sind willkommen!
