Home Sweet Home
Si̇nema Transtopia
Benoît Lamy’s ‘Home Sweet Home’ blends comedy with social critique in a Belgian retirement home run like military barracks. When Jules, a spirited resident in his seventies, and a group of rebellious elderly women revolt against the oppressive system, chaos unfolds. The actions of the residents become increasingly radical. Tackling themes of aging, authority and desire, the film mixes tenderness and outrage with sharp insight, vivid performances and heartfelt humor.
