Under the title of ‘Community’, the Film Restored Festival 2024 explores the collaborative experience of filmmaking, film preservation and watching films. The festival will also shed light on the many stories that cinema tells about community, whether in social movements, political organisations or families.

In the ninth edition of the festival from 23 to 27 October 2024, newly restored films from ten countries will be screened. In addition, there are numerous workshops, lectures and discussion events in store. On Saturday 26 October, the 25th Prize of the Association of German Cinematheques will take place with a supporting programme.
