Details

Kreuzberg is a haven for outsiders, visionaries and lost souls – and an inspiration to filmmakers. Our city walk takes you to film locations from Schlesisches to Kottbusser Tor. Whether the films set there deal with living in postwar ruins (‘Irgendwo in Berlin’), in the shadow of the Wall, (‘Zwei unter Millionen’), or a migrant woman’s self-empowerment (‘Nur eine Frau‘), Kreuzberg sets the stage for social and new creative movements. Kottbusser Tor is a breakout star that serves as a backdrop for schemes and crime in the series ‘4 Blocks’ – but which is nonetheless home.
