Save event

The exceptional artist Ella Bergmann-Michel developed a personal painting style between geometric abstraction and dance-like prismatic colors. Inspired by her friends Joris Ivens and Dziga Vertov, she turned to documentary film at the beginning of the 1930s and made socially critical short films. Her daughter-in-law Sünke Michel will guide you through her cinematic work and present the biographical background.

Short film program and conversation with artist Sünke Michel
