There’s No Such Thing as Blue Mice

‘Blaue Mäuse gibt es nicht’, GDR 1958, directed by Klaus Georgi, 11 min, no subtitles, rating: 0

In this animated short film, a family of mice meets a little blue mouse on their Sunday walk. The parents forbid their children to play with this strange specimen of their kind. But unbeknown to them, the children meet anyway. In an art studio, they discover various paints and daub themselves from head to toe. The three painted mice then present themselves to their shocked parents: the adults can no longer tell their children apart.
