In an almost documentary style, the film follows three Turkish-born siblings living in Kreuzberg in the 1990s. The two brothers, Erol and Ahmed (played by rapper Kool Savas), represent different ways of life: one stands for social integration, and the other stands for its rejection. Meanwhile, their sister Leyla goes her own way.
