Shortly before moving to E-Werk in November 2024, we digitally documented the exhibition rooms at Potsdamer Platz. Now you can visit the exhibition online, accompanied by an audio guide for selected sections. Discover the iconic Film Mirror Hall, numerous exhibits from our archives and more than a century of film and television history: from early silent films, classics such as “The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari” and “Metropolis”, Marlene Dietrich’s personal estate, to the period of National Socialism and the exile of numerous filmmakers, through the divided media landscape in East and West and up to the highlights of the present day.
To navigate on your own, please use the mouse or cursor keys. The white circles at the bottom mark internal links. Green icons on the walls and showcases show you where additional content can be found:
- Blue audio icon: exhibit with sound
- Blue eye: film clip
- Glasses icon: link to content on our website
When you click on an icon, you can use the small arrows at the top center of the screen to jump directly to the previous or next exhibit.
Note on language choice: As soon as an audio or video clip starts, you can switch to the English audio track using the gear icon. Unfortunately, the short texts are only available in German.
